About Miyagi

Miyagi (陞ウ・ョ陜灘ョ域=) is a prefecture located on the Pacific coast in the southern Tohoku Region of Japan. The capital of Miyagi is Sendai, which is also the largest city in the region. Matsushima, a scenic coastal town known for offering one of Japan's three most beautiful views, is just outside Sendai. Miyagi is home to numerous attractions, including cultural and historical landmarks, stunning natural landscapes, and vibrant urban areas.

Unfortunately, Miyagi was one of the hardest-hit areas during the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Despite this tragedy, Miyagi has been able to rebuild and continue to thrive as a destination for tourists and locals alike. In addition to Matsushima, the prefecture has many other natural attractions, such as the Zao mountain range and Naruko Gorge, famous for its hot springs and autumn leaves. The capital, Sendai, is known for its lively atmosphere, including its nightlife, shopping, and dining. With its combination of modernity and tradition, Miyagi offers visitors a glimpse into the diverse culture and landscape of Japan.
